kaleb wesolek: portraits of temporary people [exhibitions]
in his first solo exhibition, artist kaleb wesolek invites viewers to look closely at who we are online and what we have the potential of becoming. portraits for temporary people and the accompanying zine publication are born from wesolek’s wide-ranging source material, often being strangers encountered scrolling instagram, youtube, or watching movies. collecting and reinterpreting these faces in a colorful, graphic style, wesolek strips them of their temporality, immortalizing them forever.
