for photographer sarah robles, neon has always held a soft spot in her heart. the glow of the city emits a sense of nostalgia that becomes engrained into the night sky. captured on film, the series of photographs in no vacancy carry with them themes of consumption, mannerism, and place. she reminds us that this vegas neon landscape does not exist without darkness. ultimately however, robles’ images speak to a universal love of taking pictures for the sheer enjoyment of capturing a moment in time.
