Isaac Quezada: ECHOS [exhibitions]
ECHOS invites the viewer ponder a reality that exists just below the surface, in the subconscious mind. Isaac Quezada’s figures personify the emotions we carry within us. Their contrasting uses of color--sometimes murky, sometimes vibrant--draws us into a brutal world, only to be released back into our own, but not without first teaching us something about ourselves in the process.
Quezada’s surreal compositions live on the fringes of what is “known,” but then again, that’s anything that is ahead of its time.
